Olives Big Girl Room

We've been working on re-doing Olive's room as a big girl room. It still needs a little tweaking but it's shaping up pretty cute. Here are some photos of her old baby room..

This is a dresser we repainted before she was born. It used to be a dark walnut color.

Here is the big girl bed! It's a 100 year old bed we got at a garage sale. It was cream colored with gold accents and we painted it orange. It's hard to tell but it's a full size bed. I love the curved head and foot boards! I haven't found the perfect bedspread yet, so this one is a placeholder.

Her photo collage. The middle canvas photo of her is a newborn shot taken by the amazing Jen Downer. Below is the new chalkboard wall which has been a HUGE hit. She loves it.

New Favorites

I found these beauties at the LA Gift show from another vendor ERS Creative. I'm pretty much in love with all 3. They're bronze and silver. They stack. and they are so pretty.

Party Favors!

Olive just turned 3! In all of our traveling, we had to squeeze in (and plan) a birthday party for our favorite person. For party favors, I wanted to give balloons, since the kids always ask to take them home at the end of the party in years past. I found these cute animals at Michael's for $1 each! No bag filling with little plastic toys that end up all around the house and eventually in the garbage. party favors, done.

Seattle and LA trip!

We were traveling to shows most of Jan and are finally home! (but I have a solo trip next week to get gems - yay!) We had so much fun! Here is a little bit of our trip...

This makes me feel like a secret super hero:) I am sort of obsessed with this tiny little lightning bolt. PS, I wish someone gave this to me as a gift, because I would assume they also thought I had super powers... you can find one here

Gem Shopping in CA!

The holiday line is almost out! I needed a few extra things though, so my partner and I made a quick trip to Orange County to find some gems... Naturally, he was bored spending hours at the show, so he took photos:)
